Sophomore and junior year
The middle two years of my college experience were all about learning how to read analytically and critically in English 225, learning how to write for specific audiences in Writing 200 and for lab reports, simply learning more knowledge in all subject matters from motor control to psychology. I specifically learned more about writing for lay audiences when I re-purposed my MVS 313 lit review for Writing 200 to make it more like a magazine article.
Though I learned a lot academically, I also learned more personally. Basically, twenty year old angst about who I was and where my place was in the world. I tackled those issues mainly in my English 325 class, re-examining myself and who I wanted to grow up to be in the context of an expanding world view courtesy of my college education.
